I park way out in the lot!!! Never by a light standard because of the bird equation!!! If I see another vette in the lot I HAVE to park nearby cause I figure one of us is going to be treated to seeing two vettes when we come back to our cars. Other than that I guess it is just a crap shoot every time we leave our cars open to the public.
I park next to a vette anytime I can find one because I know they will be respectful to others property. Atleast one side won't get banged up!
Don't be so sure. I used to think this too. Before I got my 'Vette, when I had my SS Camaro, I parked between an SRT-8 Charger and a 'Vette. 'Vette on driver's side. Atleast my passenger side didn't have a ding....
OH YES! Alway Park away from the 4x4's, kiddy haulers,
"fleet cars", "chick cars", and beaters, also trees, light poles, and electrical wires if possible. In extreme cases use the car cover after you have
"found" that "safe place" to park!

I worry about it, but I try and park in spots that at least give me some protection on one side of the car. So far, been really lucky and not had any damage. And if there is another Vette in the lot, I will park by it.

Funny - I was just talking about this topic to someone today. I always try to park out in the toolies, with a curb on one side - backed in hugging the curb.
After 3 1/2 years of ownership, I am very protective of the car, but recently I've come to the conclusion that the paint isn't perfect with various stone chips, etc. If I get doored, I guess I'll just get it fixed. But I still don't go looking for trouble. And the end result, is that I am not as paranoid as I once was and I enjoy the car more.
i ended up getting one of those blue handi crapper hangtags ( not that i really wanted one ) and it has made the parking lot thing not so bad. those spots seem to have waaaaaayyy bigger spots. one good things i guess!!!!
At work she sits all alone out on a HUGE lot where I can see her from
my office on the 10th floor. Nobody else wants the exercise but hey
they don't drive Vette's (we have 2 others that I know of).
The Z06 is my only car so I have to drive it everywhere, but I still "shop" for parking spaces. I only park on the end of a row or in a corner where I can get over to one side of the space. I usually don't worry about another car hitting it, but I do think about the crazy people that go out of their way to do something to it. Nothing you can do to protect it from people like that.
