Looks is a matter of personal opinion. A colleague at work as a year newer coupe that is lowered. We normally park next to each other and personally I like my Z51 stock height vert over the lowered look.
It's rare that even the nose scrapes at stock height. Only on certain elevation changes that are pretty steep and I don't get the angle just right. But I prefer to keep the bottom of my Vette scrape free.
And I think it handles just fine at the stock configuration which is setup for the handling system program.
I believe it being lowered will improve the handling, but I'll keep mine at stock height - don't need to be scraping going over speed bumps, etc.
Just have to drive a little slower over bumps. But I’m for lowering and did with my 03 cobra and it looked great as they have a major 4x4 look from the factory....
Lowered down on stock bolts. Look is fantastic. As far as handling, I find it holds the road as good if not better during spirited driving. Take it downtown, have to angle allot to get in and out of places without scrapping. It is about impossible not to scrape your spoiler somewhere. The spring loaded spoiler is all replaceable for not allot of money so donot loose sleep over it happening now and then.
