Replacing Battery
If the factory battery is replaced with a non-Delco such as Exide Orbital or Optima, and the battery fails and/or leaks causing damage, would the damage be covered under a General Motors Extended Warranty?

Batteries are listed in the items under What's not covered "under any circumstances" by GMPP.
I think leak damage would be a long shot if the battery itself is not covered.

What about a Delco battery that is still under its own warranty? I would think if it failed, its own warranty would cover at least a pro-rated amount for the battery. That being said, wouldn't the damage being caused by one of GM's own products therefore also be covered? This would seem to be an important issue due to the location of vital components under the battery in addition to battery leakage issues with Corvettes in general.
