Wind buffeting can be adjusted in both the coupe an the convertible by raising one or both side windows if that's your only concern. For a daily driver, the optional 'vert hardtop will give you security and peace of mind. Pick the style you like best as that's subjective to you and you alone.

Had 3 verts (not vettes) and everything else was either sunroof or targa top (or t-tops in some cases). When my hair gets in my way--up it goes---I keep a ponytail on my rear view mirror---otherwise---if they don't like my hair don't look--I was having a blast driving my car---but I carry a brush in the car too and a vette hat
Let's see, if you are only going to use the car for around town, then go vert, if you're going to use the car for trips and such then coupe all the way. In the coupe you can pack a lot more items, ie suit cases, computers, ice chest, etc. then you can in a vert. How do I know such things you ask??? Cause I own each, a '01 vert, and two coupes '98, and a '04. Besides the coupes look a hell of alot better.
Slightly? I guess it's relative to the describer. I say there is NO contest, and the looks of a Vette without a top is crazy good looking. You want safe, get a dune buggy.
I personally think that the coupe looks better then the vert. And it's easy to dismiss the saftey issues, till you or someone you love dies in a roll that would have been prevented had there been a hard top.

I love the coupe, but I don't get a warm feeling about that big piece of glass and a little plastic-like bar saving my loved ones in a roll over. If you want safety, put a roll bar in whichever you get. Life is a risk, I'll take the convertible.

I'm not talking about the top. Even if the top of the coupe is off, the distribution of force between the windsheid and the back part of the car would be enough to keep the windsheild from buckeling. The vert is pretty much a sure death if you roll it.

It's not my vert that is killing me, it's you guys
