Default Do I Have a Bladder Control Problem?

Hi all,

On my sport seat, driver's, the 3 little control switches for the lumbar support bladder inflation / deflation do nothing. This is not my concern; I don't give a darn about that lumbar support working or not.

The issue is that I notice that about every minute or so, it sounds like the pump is trying to run for a few seconds. All by itself. Even when parked and key is off. I'm concerned about possible battery drain from this.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a separate fuse or disconnect for just the bladder pump, leaving the seat motor operational? Thanks.

Have you seen a Urologist - maybe you have a urine infection. I apologize I have to be the one to make the jest. But seriously though, hopefully you get your power seat problem solved.

Yes, but when I told him "I have a problem with where I sit" he sent me off to the proctologist!

Great! Very helpful, thanks. I'd guess the disconnects are the typical Molex type somewhere under the seat or under the carpet, but I haven't gone digging for them yet. Is that where I find them? Thanks again.

Sounds like you have a short somewhere and that is causing your air pump to work even when you do not use the switch. There are a couple of connectors under the seat and maybe one of them controls the lumbar power.

The wires on mine come up the outside edge of the seat under the track and plug right into the back of the switch .

The switches are mounted on the seat and the electrical connection is right behind the seat track

Run down to step 4 on this how to from Vette Essentials:

http://www.vetteessentials.com/instr...er_change.html

You can see how the connector fits together. It may be that cleaning that up and re-seating it could fix it. If not, it may be a switch change to solve the problem.
