Default Opinion Needed...Emblems

I have a 2001 Z06 that I replaced the black emblems with silver emblems from the 2003 Corvettes (without the 50th Anniversary insert). Recently, I was hit in the nose of my Vette. The body shop did a great job on the nose and they did get the front emblem for the 2003 Corvette to put on the nose. Here is where they did the only screwup. They put the whole emblem on the car, including the 50th Anniverary plate. I have to wait another month before anything could be done on the nose emblem. So, here is my dilema...
Should I take it back to the shop in a month and have the 50th Anniverary plate removed from the nose (possibly damaging the paint, they will touch up for me, but it would be touch up that might be seen)?
Or...
Should I get the 50th Anniverary plate and add to the rear emblem, so they at least match?
I plan on showing my Vette in local car shows and my Vette is far from stock, so it would be in the custom category. I don't think I would lose any "points" by having the 50th Anniverary plate on the emblems, but might lose "points" if the paint on the nose is touched up.

What would you do? Thanks!

It's not an '03 so I think the 50th plates would be bad form.
I'd take it back to the shop now and let them decide whether to change it now or later but I'd have them change it.

I'd keep the badge, and claim you've got the only 2003 ZO6 with a factory HUD delete option!

Just go with what your Vette is! and it is not an '03 Anniversary edition.

Go ahead and have the shop fix the mistake and perhaps they will give you the 50th badge emblem and you could pass it on to a forum member in need or hang it on the wall in the garage or something!

Thanks,Matt

Be proud to be an '01. The badge makes you look like your trying to be something your not.

You all are answering the way I was going. I am proud to have an 01. My wife thought I was being ridiculous about not wanting the 50th badge on my Z. As soon as 45 days have past, I will be taking it back in to have that plate removed. Thanks!!

I'd have them pull off the emblem, fill the hole and NOT have to clean or polish around it.

I'd take it back and have them do it right. Since the car is not an '03, the 50th wording would be out of place.
