I just put the Zo6 wheels on my car and I'm getting a tick tick ticking noise coming from somewhere. It's very slight but steady and increases as speed increases so obviously something in the rotation of one of the wheels.
Details: I put these wheels on a 1998 C5 coupe. The tires on the wheels are 295/35/18 rear and 265/40/17 front.
The tires I had on the car were 285/35/18 rear and 245/40/17 front on wagon wheels (thank God they are gone....by the way! Car looks about a million times better)
Where should I start looking? It sounds like something is catching or rubbing.
Check underneath at the back wheels. The parking brake cable may be hitting a wheel weight on the inside of the rim. I had this happen and simple fix to tie back the cables. Good luck.
Yes I had that noise after I had my left rear leaking problem fixed. The mechanic took it for a ride and heard the noise and new exactly what it was and fixed it. Good chance it might be that.
