I like the look of the red. I installed blue leds in mine as I only turn them on at shows but I mite just change mine out to red after seeing yours. Where did you mount the switch? Heres mine
I made a bracket that I mounted the 15' LED strip on using an old 8 track tape player cabinet bending it into a Z shape. Pulling the inner wheel housing and removing the cove inside garnish. I drilled 2 holes where the inside garnish mounts to the fender and attached the bracket holding the LED strip in place.
I do not have a lot of photos yet will try to get some nice pics. this summer
There are 2 options with this: if you're using red, you can run them off the running lights. If you're running any other color or just want to, you can run them off a switch like me.
The installation is very simple (provided you don't have Z06 style screens) Go to either xoxide.com or oznium.com and buy a set of their 12" cathodes. I reccomend an extra transformer unless you want to splice wires.
For the installation, you will need reliable double back tape. use this to stick the cathodes to the inner fender and the transformer in the same place. You should be able to thread the power/ground wire easily through the body panels. I like to use 20-18 ga speaker wire for this.
do this for each side and splice them together. Cathodes don't take that much power to drive. a little more than LEDs but definatly less than incandecent bulbs.
now tap into either a switch or the running lights. Very simple install.
