Default Thanks for being here

Hi all. Just wanted to say hello and express my appreciation for this web site and the forums. I am 56 years old and have just purchased my 1st Corvette (a life long dream for both myself and my wife). I purchased a 2001 hardtop that apparently was not owned by someone that knows how to care of a car. I have only had the car for 2 weeks and have already fixed 2 things with the knowledge acquired from the forums. Number 1 was to reset the Tire Pressure Sensors; that went as smooth as silk. Number 2 was to fix a problem with the HVAC display; I was totally amazed with the detail of the instructions that I found and the fix went flawlessly. THANKS FOR BEING HERE !!!!

Welcome to the Forum. This section is a tight and helpful as family.
If you find any other issues just ask and one of the members will be there to offer insight, a detailed DIY procedure and likely even show up at your house to lend a hand.

There are four things you now need to do as a family member.
1. Remember to wave
2. Help a fellow family member whenever you can.
3. Share the knowledge
4. Share the pictures

I know how you feel! I've learned a lot in the past two years here. Whenever I can (like most everyone else) I try to help when I can 'cuz heaven knows how many times I've asked for help!

Welcome aboard and congratulations on your new vette!

PS. What I like most about nearly all the C5 owners I've met (read) here; they don't have an attitude other than to sometimes suggest using the SEARCH function before asking some questions (Like, "What's the best oil? or How long before oil changes, etc. We've been changing oil in our cars for 100 years now. If you don't know stuff like that by now you should be riding a bicycle! Haha)

Welcome to the Forum and glad you fixed those problems

You're absolutely right in what you say. You'll get answers to apparently impossible questions and often within minutes.

And to top the lot there are mambers from as far afield as Sweden, Finland and the Middle East - and England of course
