It "Arms" your car with all sorts of cool shields, machine guns, etc. This is a little known factory option on only two Vettes ever!! We need to find the other one!!
Actually that's just the "Ranger" button. You see, when you have to race somebody and you realize you may be in just a bit over your head on this one, you push that button and Ranger from corvetteforum suddenly appears in your car and races the guy for you. Of course Ranger wins and that is how we Corvette owners keep our "fast car" reputation.
According to a reliable source, pushing this button activates the "Hooters Girls Tracking Beacon". Not only does it attract all Hooters Girls within a 500 mile radius, you get free beer and wings.
I vote that you come to the Forum Cruise-In and then push the button so all of your Vette friends can share the bounty.

If it is up on the front left side of the console, that is the socket for plugging in things like a cell phone car adapter to. Other than that, my car has nothing else close to what you are describing.
A pic would definitely help... near the rear of that compartment, I don't recall any buttons. There are two plastic covers that cover the bolts (which are also black). Are you sure it's a button?

This is the area I mounted my "antenna interrupter" switch. Or like stated above the bolt "covers." The auxiliary 12v socket is in the forward bulkhead area. Other than that it's not a stock item.
Well, he has not replied since he made this post, it's obvious it's NOT a normal thing...so maybe he pushed it and blew himself up, like they said...worthless without pics!
