am I to picky?
) but, since you are looking at used Vettes, not ordering a new one, you need to make a list of "musts", "would likes" and "okay either ways". Either that or plan on waiting a couple of years to find the "perfect car for you" unless you get really lucky. If you don't care to wait or really are just shopping not really serious about buying, then by all means be picky. If you really want one asap, make your lists and shop away. Like most of life, you may have to compromise on a few items so you can get into your new Vette quicker. In the end it is your call. After all is said and done, if you look through the forum enough you will see that a lot of options can be added later if you find you can't live without a certain one after you have bought your new Vette. Shopping is half the fun until it gets nice enough to actually get it out and then shopping sucks and driving it rules. Good luck in you hunt.

I had a whole "laundry list" of options I wanted in the Vette I wanted to buy.... That "list" almost cost me losing the Vette I actually bought.
I wanted "this" and wanted "that" and thought I knew it all. I almost bought a red vert, it had 29k miles on it. While I was looking at the ad online, I invited my brother (in Florida) to the same website and he was going to run a CarFax for me. While I was getting all set for the vert, he told me to look at the yellow coupe, it only has 7k miles and it's the same price.
I told him "Yellow? YELLOW?!?!?!? Are you nuts???" But looking at the car's ad, besides the low mileage, it had almost everything I wanted except: HUD (no big loss), color (YELLOW?!?!?), stick (Who buys an "auto" Vette???)
In the end, after one year of owning the car I will tell you this, after the tune and getting the shift points reset, I'm not missing a stick at all and if I was buying another brand new Vette, it would be yellow.
I guess the point is sometimes you get so obsessed with what you want that you miss out on a really good car and in my case, I almost missed out the car that was meant for me.
(Thanks Bro!
)Good luck in your search.....
