If you can get them to look the way they do on the C6 Z06 then go for it. Otherwise Id suggest to not do it. But thats my personal opinion.

I like the flaps, I think they give the car a wider and lower looking stance.
Mine are Altecs and you can buy them at MidAmerican Motorworks.
Good luck and ignore the negative comments, it is your Vette not theirs.

you buy z06 flaps and mod them. It took me a couple of hours for first one. But they look great. Do a search.

I used the Eckler's/Mid America plastic mud guards on my 97. Installed low enough they helped quite a bit in protecting the rockers, lower doors and the wheel well openings. However, they are some what stiff and tend to vibrate just enough that they left a mark in the paint at the top where the flap ended and behind the flaps at the lower end. Some tape placed behind the flaps fixed the problem on the lower end but nothing I did kept the upper end from marking the paint. As for looks most people really didn't notice them as they sort of blend in with the tires. So the question is do you want sand blasted wheel wells, rockers and lower door panels (which will happen to all C5s that are driven a few thousand miles) or do you want some black mud guards.

I'm running a set I got from Ecklers - part number 35190. They sure keep the rock chips off the side of the car.
