Candy Run Pics
I hope the pictures below are not too 'risque' for the forum but they capture the fun spirit of the Candy Run and, wow, what an evening it was
After leaving work at 5.30pm I suffered the slog from Sloane Square (near Harrods) to the Millenium dome for a start time of 7.30pm. Close on two hours to do 20-odd miles, nearly gave up but the nearer I got the more supercars I saw from Bently GTs to Lambo Murcielago's, plus a Saleen Mustang S/C, a Zonda and a Mosler M900SC.
The Vettes were by far the most prolific, making up 8 of the 50 plus super cars in attendance. There was lots of curvy bodywork around, and I dont just mean the cars, as the event was sponsored by Spearmint Rhino, a 'gentlemans club' (read strip joint).
We drove across the city through tunnels under the thames, past Big Ben and alongside the river causing cheers of delight and much photo-taking from tourists who got a view they were not expecting!
