I did some searching and didn't find what I'm looking for.
When I changed my oil the other day, I noticed the air dam just dangling there. There were two metal hangers with springs on them keeping it from falling off, but I couldn't figure where the springs attach to. Can someone help me out.

On my '98 the air dam is in three pieces and bolts through the underside of the front body colored bumper. Not sure what the metal hangers with springs are...but there are two curved flat metal support bars on the outer two pieces which help support the air dam when it is bolted to the bumper. If your bumper is sagging ( ) the air dam will too! Replacement air dam kits are available from the dealer or vendors here and not too expensive.
I saw this when I installed my Vararam a few weeks ago. The springs are attached to the centerpart of the air dam, and allow it to flex when it contacts something so it doesn't break off. There are two brackets which are flat aluminum that are bolted to the frame with 10mm bolts, and lock into a metal channel on the back of the air dam. Check out cajundudes info on the vararam install, and there should be photos of it.
