So I'm over at the Lexus forums because that is what my DD is and I see this thread about an IS350 beating a C5 at the track... but the guy doesn't post the vid even though he says he has one... we'll everyone is all over him for not posting so he does... and he was right... he beat the C5.. I couldn't believe it but obviously the C5 owner doesn't know how to drive it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHkHVetGmG0
Yeah, it is.. here is the original post about it.. I am taking the guy for his word in his post.. on the second page where he posts the link he gives a little more detail: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=278013
A Kia can beat a C5 if the person driving the C5 does not know how to drive. No biggie If they were that close in the 1/8 I am sure the C5 would have taken over in the 1/4 once he made up for the launch.
If I'm not mistaken, the IS350 is a 6-cylinder. Even if it lost by a little, that's pretty damn good. I can't wait for the new Infiniti G37coupe to come out. I believe they're going to be putting out 330 horsepower, which isn't too bad for a 6-cylinder in my book.

From what I have read, the G37 motor is the same one that will be in the new skyline but without turbos.
It was an 1/8th mile race.
Lexus ran 8.61
Vette ran 8.62
He should have spanked the Lexus but hey driver error can lose you a race to stock Civic. But on the other hand their are a lot of sedans that will give a stock C5 a run for the money these days and a lot more on the way.
Make some mods and have fun with them 350 hp is just not enough these days for some straight line performance.
