Trunk lid inner cover

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...runk+lid+liner
I had exactly the same problem. The weight of the pegboard just made it pull off every couple of days
I eventually used the push clips which I picked up from Autozone

I drilled 4 holes through the liner into the black inner frame of the trunk lid. This solution is a permanent one. And just make sure you don't push too hard on the drill and damage the outer surface of the trunk lid.

Very nice install. I am gonna do that myself. Thanks for the tip!

Hey Chris,I was just thinking about a possible solution for you
Have you ever seen those aluminum straight edges or t-squares sold at Lowe's and such? They are about 1 1/2 inches wide or so,and maybe3/16" thick
I am sure some are thinner than this and those may not have enough meat to accomplish this, but if you get the rigid one,I think it is rigid enough to accomplish this
You could cut it to length of rear hatch, drill holes in it for the same push pins, then apply to the back of the cover before installing it( to add rigidity),Then install as stated above
Of course it would be better to have something securely mounted in the corner, but this is less intrusive to the vehicle( drilling/gluing and such) and just may solve your curling issue
Also, you might consider making another set of holes for the pp's slightly higher than where the two that are closest together are,in the photo above. That way you would get additional support from this bar
Edit: You may also have to cut small pieces as "shims" for the other mounting spots so it "flushes" out

The problem with some of the liners seems to be that they are very thin. There are no real mounting points other than the raised "V" frame on the trunk lid.
I made mine from peg board. the good thing is that it doesn't curl. the bad thing is its heavy so it needs fixing firmly.

It would be easy to make some wooden blocks and fit those inside the edges with double sided tape. That would support the edges and stop movement either way.

Two head design, full diameter on the bottom (15/16 diameter) and top head diameter head is 29/32 with the top diameter having a slice cut out so as to thread into a slot or hole 7/16 in diameter. The space between is 1/16 (.06).The stem is barbed and is 1 1/8 in length.
Installed just like door panels retainers, the head is between the lid liners fabric ( my case leather) and the 1/16 backing board (my case ,it's .060 aluminum sheet). I used 10 retainers with no saging corners.
I purchased 25 retainers for $5.00 plus $3.00 shipping on Ebay to do both my FRC and the Z06.

Looks great. I'll be picking up some clips.

I like the idea of the push tabs, and it works great, it's just a shame you have to drill -- It would be great if there were existing holes in the trunk lid.
