I would like to keep it looking as good five years down the road as it looks the day I purchased it.

I've got a 98 with the Lt Oak top and bought it new. What I've done to keep it nice is, always keep it up when parked for any length of time as it keeps it stretched and tight. Whenever I wash the car I wash the top with a mild solution, about 5 to 1, of Simple Green. It looks as good as new.

Thanks C5Ron.
Any type of protectant to use on it. Like you would do to leather?
Raggtopp. You'll need to paper tape off to isolate the top when applying the sealant. It does do a pretty good job of initially beading water. I have three coats on and when I hit the top with the hose when washing it, it soaks beads at first but soaks. Which is kewl makes it easier to wash. I believe the instructions say to use the cleaner first, while washing it spray the top with cleaner use a light brush then rinse. I'd almost suggest buying two cans of the sealant. While it is all taped off might as well put several coats on. Clean plastic tarps 2mil to seal off the rest of the body. Over spray is nasty to get off. But it keeps it looking just like brand new.
I got mine from bettercarcare. I'm sure it's available lots of places.
PS NCM sells RaggTopp in their shop.

Ragg Top is a two process cleaner then a protector (like a Scotch Gard water resistant spray) It has done my vert top good and looks like new. But it is black. I'm sure Oak and White tops require more attention then my Black does. The high traffic areas are at the bows. Oh yea, and don't park it under trees, tree sap is worse than bird droppings.
Clean your top with mild soap and water and don't use to firm of a brush, best to use RaggTopp Fabric Kit
I read somewhere that the top manufacture recommends Rag Top. I've picked it up at Mid America Motorworks. Great stuff, the cleaner does a great job and the protectant really beads up the water. David
I treat our Light Oak top with either Aerospace 303 or Raggtop once a year. The light oak top will develop dark spots at the bow ends and between the side windows and rear window. Either the Aero or Raggtop cleaner take these out. This is the first time I have used Raggtop - I like the way the Aero protectant goes on, but I think the Raggtop cleaner is better. I want to see if Raggtop lasts as long as Aero 303.
Another vote for raggtop.
Mask off the back window, AND I used some old sheets and draped them out from under the top to protect ALL of the painted areas close by. Make sure all of your paint is protected. I have been told this is nasty stuff to get on your paint. It is time well spent.
The other important step which is critical is to make sure the top is dry after cleaning. I waited 24 hours to be sure.
