Is there a thread that tells the process to get to the front signal light? It looks like a spring hook holds it in but there's no apparent way to get to the spring without some kind of tool. Yes, I know this sounds ridiculous.
Go in through the brake ducts - not easy with a Z06 or if you have screens
Go in through the bottom by taking out the bottom panel
The one that works for me is:
Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it. Change the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.
Some guys with big arms remove the hood adjusting screw for better access
Just did one of mine last weekend. Take the cover off in front of the wheel, its like 5 10mm bolts push the brake cooler out of the way stick your hand up there push clip on back of bulb holder and twist.
All I do it manually open the head light, remove the black outter cover and reach in. Easy! I'm skinny so I can get my arm in there without much problem.
I just finished all 4, the 2 turn lights and the side reflectors.
If you try the method thru the headlight and you have big arms it will be tough if not impossible. So follow their steps to remove the plastic housing and then:
Remove the headlight cover with a torx bit. The two on either side have to be done while the headlight is up but the two in the back will be at an easier angle if you put the headlights back down. Its really easy to take off and put back on.
Once the headlights are down and the cover is removed you have 3" to 4" clearance and a straight shot at all of the bulbs. And you might as well do them all on both sides, while you are down there.

Reason: put in feet; meant inches :)
I couldn't get my fat arm through the brake cooling duct so I took the housing off around the headlamp but my arm was still too fat so I took the headlamp cover off and got it done. Thanks again for the help!

Ha ha, ya same here. My arms were too short and fat thru the housing and I've got a couple of intercoolers that block my access thru the brake ducts. Glad to help.

I'm feeling really insecure now
I must have really skinny arms I don't even have to take the hood adjusting screw off
