Default Chevron Techron Question

Iv read a few post by people saying they use this and they like it... Im on my fourth tank with techron added and i have to say it is a miracle drug for corvettes(or for mine). I have no problem paying a extra six dollars added to the 50 dollars it cost it fill up my tank. Matter of fact id think id feel guilty filling up my tank and not putting it in there... Which brings me to my question... Is it ok to add it to every tank?

I go with every third tank or so. I also have a bottle stowed incase the gas guage starts acting up which it does occassionally.

I dont know about the bottled Techron but I alwasy fill up at a Chevron station which has the Techron in it. They are usually cheaper than the Shell stations here.

Funny Shell is below Chevron on the list, if they go in order.

Techron hasn't solved my problem yet but I only gave it one tank full. I heard about SeaFoam so its in their right now. The techron must have been working some since I was definitely burning more out the tail. Once I get my problem solved I will keep using the Shell gas.

I fill up at Chevrons about 80% of the time and I've never had an issue with the fuel gage. Never ran a bottle through the tank, though I imagien doint it 2x a year or so might not be a bad idea.

Chevron 91 (Cal)(most of the time) and a can of techron about 3 times a year. Never any guage or other fuel related issues.

I've heard bad things about shell gas for 35 years, something about gumming up the valves. Maybe no longer an issue, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. But then a hot rod mechanic told me last month to avoid Shell like the plague. Anybody else heard this?

Chevron Supreme here... and if you live in a state that still has Texaco stations, they are basically the same gas now since they merged last year, both contain Techron. All grades contain Techron, just the higher the octane, the greater the amount of Techron.

I've been using it ever since I had the fuel gage issue about 4 years ago. I put in a large bottle every time I change the oil.

Default Do you use the entire 20 oz bottle of Techron all at once?

I have seen topics in the past about using Techron and they have inspired me to go out a purchase some. So, I have a 20 oz bottle of Chevron "Techron Concentrate Plus". The instructions indicate you dump it into a near empty tank before refueling. I was wondering though and I guess wanting to confirm with those of you out there who have used this... do I really empty the entire 20 oz bottle into the fuel tank as opposed to half? I just want to be sure I am applying this correctly. Thanks.

That's about right. I carry some with me when traveling in just in case. Around town, I fill up at Chevron and don't bother to add more.

I've used it at all levels and it seems to do the job. I try to stick with Chevron gas or Shell, but I still have the wavering guage problem occassionally.
I guess the real cure is to drink 8 or 10 JD's and Coke. The guage will still be off, but you really won't care.
Only kidding, I can't drink (Viet Nam + Agent Orange = Diabetes II) any more.
Just getting excited as I'm off to the CF CI in two hours.

I always use Chevron 93 octane gas - no problems here unless I almost run out of gas trying to find a Chevron station.
