I used dupli-color engine paint - has been on our 99 coupe's calipers for a year and a half and they have a couple of small chips, but they still look great.
Here is a link to a write up on my way of painting calipers.
I too used the Duplicolor kit...they do start to fade over some time, but I drive my car very often. I repaint roughly every 4-6 months, but it doesn't take too long after you do it the first time. Good luck!
I just switched rotor's and caliper's and wanted to bring out the best in my ride. Well I went advanced auto for about $14. If it doesent last I will buy z06 calipers.

Dupli Color in a can with a brush. >>Removed caliper, sprayed the crap out of it while haning on a bungee. Installed new Slotted/Hole type Rotors with Red Hats. Brush painted one caliper, while drying.... I did the other one, went back and forth 3 times and it came out Really Nice. Took about 1hr. I let it dry overnight. Hindsight,..... I'd install the Chrome Pad Covers at the same time while I had the Calipers off. I painted mine and now thinking Hmmmmm? Perhaps Chrome ones would have looked better. Also, I just painted the Lettering with Silver Paint and a paint brush with 5 hairs in it. (don't even blink while doing it this way).
Its fun doing it this way and its also fun writing a check to have someone else do it. Either way, it looks much better than the stock rust colored ones.
A lot of folks have had really good luck using a caliper paint kit you can get at Autozone or Wallmart. (if you want them RED) The KEY is getting the calipers completely clean and get a better small brush. A couple of coats and you are good to go. Razor blade then small sanding block for the letters - looks pretty good. Not a good as powercoat, but surprisingly good.
The kit is about $10 or so and you can have all four done in two hours max!
GOOD LUCK
How can you go wrong!!
Mine have been painted two seasons now, don't know how powder coat can look any better.
