Maybe just me ...
Welcome to C5Gen... some things never change.
As far as the rain, if you want a museum piece, buy a Duesenberg.... there and way to many C5s floating around to make ANY difference in value if a cars been out in the rain or not.

you have got to be kidding me? what a bunch of garage queen princesses. God forbid you drive the car in the rain and it gets dirty. Hell it got rained on waiting to be shipped more likely. I swear some of you people should just park the damn thing in the living room and drain the gas out of it. You could put a big projection TV in front of it and pretend you are at a Drive In Movie. Let me guess you all wear your corvette hat, watch, shirt, boxer shorts and socks when you drive it too huh?
Do you guys know what rain is made out of? It's di-hydrogen monoxide (DHMO). If you inhale too much of the stuff, you'll die! Best to avoid it at all cost. You definitely want to keep it away from your car. Just google DHMO to read all about the hazards of it

that stuff is nasty, I hear fish actually **** in it.
well since I started this wet messs, I figured I'd add that the vette has seen rain 2x since!!!!!!!!!So im concluding that I wont go out of my way to drive it IN the rain, but if it gets wet , Im gonna just not worry so much about it
1. Pull car in Garage out of the rain.
2. Cover with a coating of Car Wash Soap.
3. Drive like BOH in the rain. (make sure it's a hard rain)
4. Pull back in garage.
5. Wipe dry.
6. Wax
If someone comes up to me and wants to inspect the underneath side of my car (I can't imagine why someone would want to), but IF they did, I would simply tell them.................NO! I don't drive it from underneath, I don't see underneath it, so why should I worry if it's clean or not?
