Default Update on Eric....

Eric had a rough weekend... I think he was suffering a little hospital psychosis, but the doctor ordered some medicine to relieve his anxiety and that has helped. Today is the beginning of day three for Eric with no fever. The doctor had the kitchen deliver solid food this morning. This is a very good sign. His primary doctor is calling in an Endocrinologist to review his case and determine a course for his treatment. Thanks again for all of the prayers.

God Bless,
Rodney and Dianne

Hello Rodney, I'm new to this forum. I read your post requesting prayer and all the wonderful response you received from your friends. I'm sure our Lord is pleased to see such a response for His intervention in the life of one of His children. I know you don't know me but please add me to those you consider prayer partners. May the Lord make His face to shine upon Eric. God bless your family.

Default Update...

Thanks to all of the CF family members for you prayers. Eric started eating solid foods yesterday, and was unhooked from his IV this morning. One doctor says he can go home as long as the other doctor agrees. He has some education about Diabetes ahead, but for now, the outlook is much better than before.

God Bless,

Rodney, Dianne, Eric and Alyssa.

So glad to hear that things are getting better. My family sends our very best to you and yours. God Bless
I'm Diabetic Type II (Viet Nam + Agent Orange = Diabetes II). You just have to watch the foods you eat and the foods you'd like to eat. It's really not to much fun, but it's doable. Hope he's doing better and if he wants to talk about Diabetes have him PM me.

Default Update on Eric - FINAL!!!!

To All,

Eric was released by his doctors yesterday evening. We just wanted to thank everyone for the prayers offered up on Eric's behalf. He has a lot of learning ahead of him to deal with his Diabetes, but the doctors are hopeful that he can learn to manage it through diet and exercise and will not have to depend on insulin for the rest of his life. The power of prayer is awesome.

God Bless,
Rodney and Dianne

Will do... he has Diabetic training classes this coming Monday and they have him on 7 different prescriptions. Gradually, he should be able to get off of them one by one until he is dealing strictly with the Diabetes.
