i have a 1999 corvette coupe i just recently started having a sqealing
noise coming from my motor. i had all the belts replaced and pullies, and also the pulley tensioner. the noise is still their. anybody have this problem and what can i do to fix it.
Get a can of belt squeal spray from autozone and spray on. If the squeal goes away, it is something on the belt (not enough tension, bad belt, etc). If it doesn't stop, it is likely something the belt is driving (like the AC, power steering, etc)...
This assumes that the sound IS coming from the belt...

i did spray the belt and it seemed like the noise got worse. do you think a gatorback belt will fix the sqeak
i cant tell if it is being isolated to a particular pulley i sprayed the surpentine belt and it seemed to just get worse. the ac works fine, and i havent noticed any problem with the steering.
You can try removing the belts (one at a time) and running the engine for a few seconds (remember the water pump will not be turning, so this has to be a quick test). If the noise stops at least you will know if it's a belt-driven device making the noise, which should help you isolate it.
