Default interior removal?

Can anyone tell me where I can find some instructions on interior removal for my vet? Looking to pull it all out for sound proofing install.

Thanks,

Dave

If I'm not mistaken, you can go to Vette Essentials and they have a lot of good details on disassembly of the interior.

The removal is not as bad as it seems. Take your time and give everything a good cleaning while you're at it. I'll look to see if I still have some directions saved.

Definitely one of the easiest interior removals I have done. You will need a torx set, a putty knife and a little patience.

Post up any questions here.

Vette essentials has instructions for removing the center consol area and door panels. What they dont tell you is about the trim pieces you need to remove to get the carpet out. Most are just pressure clips, pull firmly but slowly. Look around the piece you are taking out as many of them have to come out in order. There are also a few pieces toward the fron of the drivers side that are held in with screws or small bolts (8mm comes to mind, dont quote me though). Youll have to remove thoe before the carpet will pull out. The seatbelt upper bolt will have to come out, its a T47 (torx) bolt. Youll also need a small flat blade screw driver (for prying out a few small plastic retainers on the back trim piece, as well as the plastic cover over the seat rails). I would also invest in a tool made for pulling the door panels off, it looks like a small pry bar attached to a crew driver handle. Its only a few dollars at your local outo parts store and will save you from having to order new fasteners for your door panles (I broke 3 of mine cause I didnt use this tool). This is just the main things I remember from whenI did it. Its really not too bad, just go slow and be sure to keep all of the fasteners and screws in a labeled envelope or something (I still has 3 screw left over! ). Good luck

Just remember you wont find a T47 in a standard torx set. I found mine with the brake caliper tools in sears.
