So I am driving down a dark road and all the sudden a deer comes out of nowhere and stops on the road and decides to stare into my headlights so I slam on my brakes and the guy behind me swervs to miss me (yes he was to close and he had a older fox body mustang) goes into the emergency lane over steers clips me then he goes sideways into his friends car and ends up in a ditch, this was at about 50 mph, they both had someone in the pass seat and so did I, everyone was ok so thats good and somehow we all missed the deer, damn cops thought we were street racing and did not buy or story untill the end and no one got any tickets, now for the damage...

We really werent racing and it was very hard to get the cops to believe us but there is no way in hell I would race on a wet road , time for me to go to bed its been a long night. Got to wait till monday to hear from the insurance co.
Here, let me do it for you. I know it's a horse but lets pretend it's a deer...Bad Deer...
Looks like minimal damage. Get it into the shop and have it fixed, it'll be good as new...
WOW, minimal??? What's minimal damage to you? Anything less than $5000???
Corvette Don, question:
Did you have anytime to turn your lights off quickly??? I know this sounds a little silly but I was able to do that once... A deer turned to look at me and I quickly shut of my lights and he ran off... As soon as I turned them off, he turned... instant. I don't know if it was luck or what but it worked that time... I hit the brakes too of course...

Sorry to see this happen. I hate when people get too close to the Vette. They don't realize how quick we can stop. It will look better than new when you get it fixed. Good Luck
