C5 Top Speed

does anyone know what the top speed of a 350hp LS1 with MN6 and 3.42 butt gears is?????

just curious...........

I saw a list not long ago that shows 175 for the coupe and 163 for the convertible. I also saw 184 for the C6 and 190 for the '08 C6 with the new LS3.

with just an aftermarket intake and cat-back, 2 C5 coupes have done 180; one was on the Bonneville salt flats and the other, on the Autobahn in Germany. Speed was measured/calculated using a military GPS.

What do you think the top end is for a 415 rwhp coupe with 3.90 gears, 6 speed ? ( Nitrous brings it up to 100 hp more ). I would guess the gearing will slow it down some.

Its rated at 175mph but Ive heard about several that have gone in the 190's mph and they were stock.

Correct me if Im wrong but a bigger gear usually lowers your top speed.

172 here when it had only catback and CAI, which means nothing. It still had a bit left in her. I say an honest 180. Z is a little slower

A friend of mine has a heads and cam packaged coupe with 423 rwhp and 4.10 gears. The gears limited him to only 160 mph. You could probably get a bit more but the gears are definitely a hinderance to top speed.

GM rates the coupe at 174. Have had mine to 140 with no problem.
