Guys easiest way i found to get the **** pin out was drilling and tapping a 6-32 hole down the middle of the pin. Then screw in a 1 inch screw grab with lineman pliers and pull out. I braced the pliers against the **** with a towel. Piece of cake.Forget the vise grips and screwdriver method i basically destroyed the pin this way.
Good luck
I put 2 drops of PB Blaster on the silly T Pin and grabbed it with a vice grip. It was super tight, but wiggling the vice grip left and right while pulling straight up had the T Pin out pretty easily. I did try it first without the PB Blaster and it didn't budge.
Great stuff! No garage should be without it.
The first time I did it, I just went for it without thinking, and I just pulled like hell and after about a minute of good effort, it came out and the top part of the "T" came off and the pin broke in two. the second time I was smarter and used two screwdrivers and pryed from the side and at the same time (with my bros help) also pulled with vice grips and it came out easily.
After you remove it, take a Dremel or a metal file to it's sides to narrow it some; especially right near the top to give you more of lip to pry it up the next time.
Waa-laaa! It'll go in and come out with ease!
There really isn't any reason for it to be super tight so after its dremeled a little thinner on the driver and passenger sides, removing it becomes a piece of cake!
