I just wish I had half the knowledge that some members have.
The forum is a great souce for info.

Enjoy the forum and am glad its here.

I ocasionally get irritated with some narrow minded people who put down other peoples cars. Other than that, I am happy to help when I can and I am very grateful for all the knowledge and help I have received.

Great place and why I became a lifetime member

Have learned what to look for and listen for with the car now.
A great place to bring others on-board and support those having questions or problems.
Yep, I've been frustrated at times and had some others angry at me at times - but that's life and it doesn't cost anything to share it here!
This is my major site/forum and I think it's great!
So, Zilla, when you're done with your chores, I'd like one of the C5 profiles, but WITHOUT the BSM's!
That being said , I hate post ****** !
I have bookmarked a lot of how to sights. I did this so when someone comes looking for help I can pass on a little of what has been given to me from the folks on the forum. After all I think that knowledge is a great thing to have; Wisdom is sharing it.
I give the forum and it's members 3
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
This Forum is great at giving advice and guidance but it's also the people that make the worldwide Corvette community such a great group to be involved with. I am always amazed at the help people have willingly given me and many of my Corvette related decisions have been on the back of such guidance.
Sure, it can get frustrating when people ask questions which a quick search would have answered, but the one thing I have learnt from the Forum is that "the only stupid question is the one that is not asked".
Finally, we all owe a debt of thanks to those people who monitor and moderate it for us.
With best wishes to everyone on the Forum from across the pond.

) more $$ than I'll ever admit. Hopefully I chime in and help someone once in a while.

If I have info I feel will help someone out, I pass it on.

May God bless and Save the Wave.Ed & Ruthann
I sometimes get frustrate with the same old questions that come up once a month such as what octane do you use, BSM polls, and misplaced post. I usually go venture off to OT for a while or just take a break and not post.
Before I moved to the new house I used to create wooden corvette emblems and give them away on the forum. The wooden corvette emblem have been put on the back burner right now since I am working a lot and just finshed doing the full basement adding two bedrooms, bathroom, media area, exercise area and computer nook.
Once things settle down i will probably give a few more away.
Here what I give back to the forum.

C5 General has become a kiddie forum in many respects.
Many members refuse to adhere to the Forum rules for posting in this section. Worse yet, when they are informed of the rules they get all prissy. Many will call such information as coming from the "**** police' etc. Such attitudes do little to benefit the Forum as a whole, and for some reason most members refuse to chastise them when it is appropriate.
Many of the old members find the attitude of some members to be such they have elected to either move (I.e., OT, C6, etc.) rather than attempt to contend with many of the rude, 'attack' minded posts and/or members that post irrelevant, and many times incorrect, answers to serious questions.
This is really a shame. The knowledge base is slowly eroding, leaving members that need/want assistance with response posts that are far from helpful.
This section has lost many helpful members - and the knowledge they offered will not be made up for by many of the newer members.
Like many, I have elected to spend more time in other areas of the Forum due to much of the above. I do attempt to be of assistance when possible, but instead of being a pleasure, it is, in many cases, a chore that is no longer worth the effort.
