Well, as far as time/money invested goes. Have you ever added something, and then thought to yourself that you can have saved the money/time and done without it.

I have, and It was my HUD. Before I had it, I thought it would be the coolest thing ever to have, and was all hyped up. Then after I installed it, I enjoyed it for about a week and then it wasn't exciting to me anymore. Whenever I drive the car in the daytime, I prefer to have the HUD off. I only use it occasionaly at night, and turn all the dash lights off.

But I seriously could have done without it and used the money I spent on something else for the vette.

Aftermarket air filters, such as Blackwing. No discernable difference, and some question the effectiveness of the filtering.

I've been fortunate to not have added anything I regret. Well..... let me take that back. I wish I would have went with 18/19 wheels instead of the stock 17/18 Z06 sizes. Heck I may still do that, and use the ones on the car as "track" wheels.

Ceramic Brake Pads. These have to be the worst thing you could ever do to a Corvette. Can you say BRAKE FADE.

what exactly do the resonators do? do they make the exhaust louder? how do they install?

If you don't like it that much, maybe I can help you go back to non-HUD.

I can't do it until later this year (October?) but I had HUD in my Bonneville SSEi many years ago and loved it. That is the only thing I wish my car had come with.

I would like to replace the stainless panels in my engine bay with chrome. Stainless is easy to scratch, but looks for the money.

Not on the C5. When I had my C4, I was a noob and believed every claim for 5 horse power here and there. I installed the throttle body coolant bypass and throttle body air foil. Both were a was of time, money and labor.

Blackwing. Also, in light of today's gas prices, my 3200 stall converter eats a bit more gas around town. Oh well. It simply isn't worth it to take it out.

Wet Okole Seat Covers, had them on for two days and hated everything about them! Felt like sitting on a big marshmallow and whatever they tell you.....They are HOT in the summer.

HUD was one of the BEST mods. Love my HUD. Don't know why anybody would not use it all the time.

No regrets so far. I've only installed an open air filter box and K&N, Hooker Mufflers for a little more noise and no drone, and reprogramed the computer for firm trans shifting. I wasted alot more money on my C4, and maybe learned something from that..... But then the catalogs come in the mail, and I'm tempted... BTW, I love my HUD- keeps yer eyes on the road. I wouldn't be without it now.

Well I have only done a few little things but on my Camaro I really regretted putting tubular control arms front and rear with poly and rod end bushings. The ride went from great to terrible instantly and the handling wasn't any better. Atleast I couldn't tell at all.
I also regretted lowering the car too much. Oh yeah and my loudmouth exhaust! That was terrible! I ended up putting a B&B TriFlo on it to quiet it down.
