I've done a few mods and I was trying to think of one I really didn't like. I hated the ceramics. They felt like crap.

Yes! I have two. In 2002 I bought/installed higher wattage blue (WTH I was a noob!) bulbs for all 4 headlights and the fogs with no improvement at all. I now (thanks to the forum) have 9011s in all 4 sockets with a Competition Limited loom kit that fires all 4 beams when switched to high beam, plus PIAAs in the fogs. NOW I've got good lighting.

My second waste of $ was my earlier non Avery vinyl stripe kit from a vendor I won't mention. I now (thanks to the Forum) have just installed Corvettestripes.com (thanks Mike) genuine Avery vinyl with my pick of any color from the Avery catalog for a pittance more than the crappy ______ ones. So in hindsight all is good now and the only thing damaged was some money spent. Other than those "pre forum" mistakes, My mods have all given me a great sense of satisfaction.

I almost forgot. I had bought a flush mounted tail light kit and although I don't know if there is more than one version. but the one I got was a joke and was trashed 5 minutes into the install.

DOOR HANDLE ACCENTS, YELLOW LEATHER
JACK PADS, (4)
FUEL RAIL COVERS, YELLOW
MOMO SHIFT ****

For me it was the reversing camera. I installed it as a novelty but by the time the flip out screeen had flipped out, I was out of the garage or I'd finished reversing. Also it was tuned to a frequency on a control box. It kept drifting off so the picture was always fuzzy. And not forgetting the obvious, who really needs a reversing camera in a Vette?

It was a lot of effort for a 5 minute novelty so I got rid of it.

I don't know. maybe im used to not having it. The first C5 i ever drove had the HUD and i thought i had to have it. But the one i bought didn't and i had the urge for it ever since. but like i said, it just oesn't do to much for me.

Oh, also a couple of bad choices in shifter *****. Should have bought the delrin from the start.

The only mod I regret doing is the mod I didn't do

But I did put on a Granitelli MAF with a twin cone intake and it lasted less than two weeks till I replced it with vararam and put the stock Maf back on.

We're all new at this at some point.

what exactly do the resonators do? do they make the exhaust louder? how do they install?
this is the exhaust i have, instead of mufflers they are resonators.
i am not sure of the difference, just know they are tooooo
loud.
