Default Alarm Question

I have searched and searched and just cannot find a link to the vendor that sells the vicinity alarm unit which is placed in the waterfall pod on the convertible.

I just had my Denali broken into outside my apartment and don't want to take any risks with the vette!

I know one of you guys will be able to help me out and forward me this link .

Thanks in advance

I got it fitted in Houston.
It's correct name is
Field Disturbance Sensor.
F.D.S.

Mine actually fits very nicely in the space where the ashtray was,
The FDS has 2 adjustable settings, one for internal, and one for external.
If a person walks past the 'vette it wont "warn-away"
If they stand there for a few seconds, it will "warn-away"
This time is determined by one of the adjusters.
the other adjuster is for the internal intrusion.
This will go into "full alarm mode"

the key fob has a 1 mile communication with the alarm in the car,
So you are notified if your alarm is activated

Sheesh, nothing gets past you eh?
I put in for a name change as the WS6 is now gone, and wasn't really suitable.
Little o/t,
How's the rain & floods by you?
Hope you have been O.K.

Hi there,
yes, all comes as a package.
Took them about 3 hours to fit it.
I rarley use the std. key fobs.
I always lock / unlock with the new fob.
The settings are adjustable, so you can decide almost how much they can stand there before detting the warn-away off.
As it is only me who drives the 'vette, I don't rely on the memory package to put all my seats etc, (as does the std. fobs.) back to where they were.

Hi everyone,
Just want to clarify that the FDS unit shown above is not the one we sell. Our unit uses the same DEI proximity sensor, but does not come with an aftermarket alarm module and fobs, it is designed to work with the factory system and factory FOBs. It is also not a warn away system, in other words, once triggered it will sound the factory alarm which uses your cars horn.

Thanks,

Rick
