Default Thinking About Changing...

Well, I have been pondering over this for some time and I am browsing picture threads and checking out other BLACK Vettes and thinking of going back to CHROME look. I am also thinking of getting rid of all the blackouts (maybe keep the fronts, because they are painted - that is up in th eair too). This will not happen over night, but something that would take a little time. I am interested to see what others think. I know it is my car, but this is always fun to hear/read your opnions.

MY CURRENT LOOK

WITH THE C5R Headlights.

WHEN I WAS RUNNING CHROME

If I go back to CHROME I will paint the calipers RED again.

Not sure what wheels to go with, I am partial to the 18s all around and the rear has got to be at least 10.5 inches wide.

If anything, I am thinking of getting rid of all of the blackout stuff on the rear-end. Would love to see your rear-ends (Black cars).

Micah

I say go back to chrome, looked killer! But then again, I am not a fan of the black wheels, etc.

You could leave the black-outs all around, but chrome wheels do alot for a black car in my opinion. Never could understand what people like about black wheels on a black car...

Hey Micah, that is a tough decision. I am a fan of black wheels on black cars. However it all depends the look you want to go for. The black on black IMO looks agressive, the chrome look gives you more "bling". You have a great looking car and it looks good both ways.

PS Why not buys some chrome wheels and keep the current ones as well, that way you can go back and fourth as you like....

Thanks Mike.

I was thinking of at least getting rid of my black outs on the rear completely.

What was I thinking. LOL!

I can make you a nice exhaust plate to match mine:

The few votes I did get is almost even. Must be doing something right with the current setup.

I think your car looks really sharp in black the way it is. Chrome themed cars are a dime a dozen; your's is a real head-tuner.

I do like your current setup, however I like the Chrome C6 Z06 rims better on a black vette and I say keep the black outs they are killer on a black vette

Now the Gator stays and I need a Corn Husker one

I disagree, I am seeing more and more all black cars with black rims and taillight blackouts. Still looks great but it certainly isnt un common.

I love them, every time I think about having them powder coated I just walk outside and look at them and change my mind.
