Out here in the "sticks" we wave at lots of folks... and many wave back... 
You can't drive through a small town without getting a few waves... and I'm not in the Vette!!

If I see something I like (car, bike, boat, or snowmobile) and I feel like letting them know that - they get a wave. My decision. Now obviously I like Vettes so if someone takes the time to wave at me I feel like you wave back as a courtesy to acknowledge that they waved. But still, I decide based on how I feel. Hell, somedays I wouldn't even wave at my wife
