The same thing happened to me last week. I ordered some parts form Mid-America and the delivered them to the local Hospital! I had them shipped next day. 2 days later I finally found out they were mis delivered to the hospital. They would not refund my money, and I had to go get the parts myself!!!!!!!!

I posted the following on another thread but it applies to this one too. I know we are talkin mostly about Fed Ex here but I want to stress they aren't unique. All freight carriers are being pushed and hurried to move it so it happens.

I'll tell you how they lose stuff.... If its ground they drop it off with no signature required! I see it everyday. I've had Fed Ex back up to the dock with the dock door down and set the packages on the dockplate and never come inside. PATHETIC! These guys are in such a big hurry!
These items should have been LTL shipments and the items were off loaded on somebodies dock to get that customers freight out of the nose of the trailer. They were then not placed back on the trailer prior to departure. This leaves them in limbo until some Good Samaritan returns them to Fed Ex. Depending on the company they were left at and the receiving individuals you may or may not ever have your merchandise returned.
I have talked with my area rep numerous times to get crap straightened out that you wouldn't believe. Normally I don't see many LTL problems from them. Ground is another story.
UPS is similar in the fact that if it is a small package (like ground) and the truck is going to a business who receives numerous packages the business signs for the truck. They have no idea until after the truck is unloaded and each item is checked in what was on the truck or how many packages. So in short UPS is in the clear because the have a signature.
Just some insight from a 1000+ Truck per month facility receiving persective.....

I have all parts shipped to where I work and the girl that works in shipping and receiving checks all packages as they [ups fed ex ect..] muck up plenty of deliveries and our print supplies are not free, she comes and gets me when I have parts that come in so I can check the package. Hope it works out for you.

Fedex has been pretty good for me. I'd just require a signature on items to avoid these problems. Small additional charge but it may be worth it. Saved my butt when I sent some papers to a guy and put the wrong address, fedex called him for me and got the correct address. Then when he shipped the papers back to me they sent it to the wrong address for my house (not really their fault, crappy write on shipping label faded). They called me and I had them hold it at a local facility for me to pickup.

Fed Ex delivers my A/C Compressor and Starter from Karshop on the 20th. but Driver decides to leave it at a different address, now package is missing and Im screwd with out the parts! ! !

I purchased a Starter and a A/C Compressor from Gene (Karshop) last week, he shipped the items to the correct address, after nothing arrived after a few days, I called Gene to get tracking number and I tracked it today (7/25/07) Well tracking shows it was delivered on (7/20/07) at 1:35PM and left at front door! ! ! I was home all day on that day and I never heard the Door Bell! ! ! Gene went to Federal Express today and they told him that it was delivered to the address on the box (2506 Grayson Way)
By the way, I live in a Townhome Subdivision and there is a 2506 Grayson Way (My Address) and a 2506 Grayson Circle! ! ! I think driver left it at 2506 Grayson Circle, I went to that address today and the house is empty! ! No one lives there! ! ! He might have left it there and someone picked it up! ! !
What should I do! ! I need to get my car back and running ! !

I just got off the phone with Fed Ex local dispatcher, I was told the driver is going to go to the address where package was delivered to, I will be looking out for him to see where he is going! ! I can assure you he is going to the other address! ! I guess I'll see what happens!
UPDATE! ! FRIDAY AFTERNOON 7/27/07
I was just standing in the Garage and I saw the Fed Ex truck parked at the building where I thought the Box was delivered! ! I started to walk there and right when I got to the other side of the building (Front Door) I hear the truck start up and leave! ! Well I walked over to my house since the Driver was supposed to stop by where the package was drop! ! Guess what, I see the truck drive out of the subdivision! ! That tells me that the package was never delivered to my building! !
I believe Fed Ex made a mistake on this one! !

This morning, I took the Dog for a walk around the complex, so I decided to walk around where I always said the package was delivered to....I see a lady coming out of the house right next door where the package was delivered and I asked her if she seen a package on the door step at (2506 Grayson Circle) she told me yes, it was there for 3 days but then it was gone! ! ! She also told me there was a guy that just moved out recently and his name was Mike! ! The package is gone and Im sure lost somewhere! ! My point is that Fed Ex delivered package to the wrong address and they said that the Driver was coming to the address where it was delivered to check, but never came to mine on Friday because I was here all day until 6:30 PM! ! ! !
I guess Karshop needs to do a claim and wait for the refund! !
Starter has been purchased at the Dealership and A/C Compressor was purchased from another Forum member! ! So my car will be up and running while I had to get replacement parts! !

Federal Express tells me I cant do the claim, it has to be done by Shipper! !
