Fed Ex delivers my A/C Compressor and Starter from Karshop on the 20th. but Driver decides to leave it at a different address, now package is missing and Im screwd with out the parts! ! !



If anyone works for Federal Express.............Please Help! ! !

I purchased a Starter and a A/C Compressor from Gene (Karshop) last week, he shipped the items to the correct address, after nothing arrived after a few days, I called Gene to get tracking number and I tracked it today (7/25/07) Well tracking shows it was delivered on (7/20/07) at 1:35PM and left at front door! ! ! I was home all day on that day and I never heard the Door Bell! ! ! Gene went to Federal Express today and they told him that it was delivered to the address on the box (2506 Grayson Way)

By the way, I live in a Townhome Subdivision and there is a 2506 Grayson Way (My Address) and a 2506 Grayson Circle! ! ! I think driver left it at 2506 Grayson Circle, I went to that address today and the house is empty! ! No one lives there! ! ! He might have left it there and someone picked it up! ! !

What should I do! ! I need to get my car back and running ! !

I just got off the phone with Fed Ex local dispatcher, I was told the driver is going to go to the address where package was delivered to, I will be looking out for him to see where he is going! ! I can assure you he is going to the other address! ! I guess I'll see what happens!


UPDATE! ! FRIDAY AFTERNOON 7/27/07
I was just standing in the Garage and I saw the Fed Ex truck parked at the building where I thought the Box was delivered! ! I started to walk there and right when I got to the other side of the building (Front Door) I hear the truck start up and leave! ! Well I walked over to my house since the Driver was supposed to stop by where the package was drop! ! Guess what, I see the truck drive out of the subdivision! ! That tells me that the package was never delivered to my building! !

I believe Fed Ex made a mistake on this one! !

UPDATE! ! SUNDAY 7/29/07
This morning, I took the Dog for a walk around the complex, so I decided to walk around where I always said the package was delivered to....I see a lady coming out of the house right next door where the package was delivered and I asked her if she seen a package on the door step at (2506 Grayson Circle) she told me yes, it was there for 3 days but then it was gone! ! ! She also told me there was a guy that just moved out recently and his name was Mike! ! The package is gone and Im sure lost somewhere! ! My point is that Fed Ex delivered package to the wrong address and they said that the Driver was coming to the address where it was delivered to check, but never came to mine on Friday because I was here all day until 6:30 PM! ! ! !
I guess Karshop needs to do a claim and wait for the refund! !

Starter has been purchased at the Dealership and A/C Compressor was purchased from another Forum member! ! So my car will be up and running while I had to get replacement parts! !

UPDATE! ! TUESDAY 7/31/07
Federal Express tells me I cant do the claim, it has to be done by Shipper! !
I hope Im not getting screwd here!

Received an Email from Karshop and he said Ill be receiving my refund when he gets it from Fed Ex! !
Now we have to wait for Federal- Express!

 

I would be pissed to It does give me a chance to sell your blower while we are waiting for those replacement parts

I would be all over FED EX on this and I know you well enough you will was some hell on this

 

They screwed me over last Saturday, I was home and they just left a
note they would deliver next business day which was Monday. They
delivered on Tuesday. Good thing I did not have the Vette up on stands
waiting for the parts (red calipers).

Same thing happend to my father with his 66 vette, i believe it took a week to clear everything up

 

I had the same thing hapen to me about 3 years ago. I called the vendor, they immediatley re shipped the replacement and made their claim against Fedex. I had the items the next day...

 

Yep, been there and had that done to me.
Bought a set of 4 wheels and tires, had them shipped Fed Ex Ground and they LOST them. How can you loose a complete set of 4 truck tires and wheels, I don't know, but they did. After a dozen phone calls, 2 letters, and 2 months time, they finally showed up.

 

That sucks big time I hope you get it sq away. I have had my problems but mostly because I have all my stuff shipped to my work place and they mess up the zip codes ect... I hope this works out for you.

 

If Fed Exp can prove they delivered to YOUR address, yeah, then maybe you're screwed butttttt.....if you can prove they delivered to the WRONG address, Fed Exp is Screwed.

 

Well UPS isn't much better, today i get home from work and find a blank ups note on my door, none of the boxes were checked. So now i don't know if they are going to try to deliver it again tomorrow or I have to go pick it up, guess I'm just supposed to read their minds. It's the Ipod2car kit i bought off Wildwall, can't wait to install it this weekend!

 

In the last 6 years I had about 200 things shipped to my house.

I live in rural America, My Fed Ex driver will do anything to avoid driving out to my house. He figured out I was a teacher in town and dropped a Catted "X" pipe for me in the school office!!! Fortunately, someone told me I had a box. Another time he called my house and told my son he had dropped off my header gaskets at the convenience store 12 miles from my house because he was having a busy day. I arrived home, and had to go back out again to pick them up. What pissed me off was I passed them at the store when I was on the way home! I don't care for Fed Ex either!

Don't be a hater. Some of the people on this board earn a living from FedEx...

If you call customer service 1.800.GO.FEDEX, I am sure they will work it out to your satisfaction. This company tries hard to be a customer oriented organization.

 

Not to justify this action, but does your property or the route have hazards that are dangerous to a large truck moving through there, like power lines low hanging trees etc?

please don't let the actions of a few taint your view of the whole.

 

It happened twice to me with UPS. Once was the delivery of my $1,000 GHL Bullet Exhast! Fortunately for me, the homeowner at the wrong address called me (this happens a lot, with the mail, as we get their mail, and they get ours), (one address is 7916 Roseland, and the other is 7916 Rocklyn) and I drove the six blocks and picked it up.

 

One advantage of a stay home wife/mother, I insist on requiring a signature for delivery. That ways things like this do not happen.

I have had items shipped to me with FedEx and do all my shipping with FedEx. Never had a problem... Now I will...

UPS screws me all the time. I pay for 2nd day air and it's supposed to be delivered on time and it never arrives. I go online to track it and it's been rescheduled. Has happened almost 10 times.

I use USPS whenever possible. They are usually cheaper, if I have a large package they bring it to my door. Everything I get through UPS looks like they kicked it all the way to my house, and FedEx will leave important envelopes on the front porch, which I never use, because I have a two car attached garage with walk door (with a note asking them to leave the packages on the back deck which is the same distance as the front porch) won't ring the doorbell even if I am home, and drive away as quickly as possible so I can't mention damages? FedEx shipping is usually fairly quick, but sooo expensive. UPS has been a pain to work with when they lost some of the parts out of an order they delivered. USPS has never lost anything coming to me and the packages are rarely damaged at all. I have a great rural carrier.

 

FEDEX would not leave my parts unless I was there to sign for them. But the guy left a card telling me to sign. After a few days I had to go get them when I made a call.
UPS has their own problems, like damaged stuff. I had one where it looked like it went through a meat grinder, really. The guy handed it to me and said I could file a claim, NOT true only the shipper can.
No more, I use the US mail when I can, and they take some big stuff I found out.
