Default stock height for lower.....

so i was at a friends dealer today and they just took an stock 02 z06 on trade.....and i thought to myself i don't remember the last vette i drove that wasnt mine...lol....well he gives me the keys and wow.....i forgot that my car used to be that smooth.....i mean i didnt feel all the bumps in the road....and scrape on everything......it made me think maybe i should raise mine back up a little....or all the way....i didnt relize the harsh ride i have till now

so what is it guys....?

keep it the way it is....and suffer....or raise it up to the old 4x4 look?

You may not post without pictures of the girls!! I would get coilovers or the Koni shocks with the Hyperco leaf springs, then you'll have the best of both worlds.

Absolulty.

Suppenions needs to travel to work best. Lowering your car looks cool, but the ride will be much harsher. With a lowered car, the suppension bottoms out. Plus the aliengment is not great on a lowered car.

Raise it back up to stock ride height. Then lower the front 1/2" adjust the rear, to keep that 1/4" rake front to back. Left side should be ~ 1/8" higher then the right, to compenstate for the drivers wt.

I purchased mine lowered and did not like it, I have returned it to factory and it so much better.

Did you upgrade your shocks? If not try the Bilstein sports or the Koni's..........they'll improve the ride quality alot.

I lowered mine 3 days after I got it. It would have ben sooner but I was still on the way home, from ware I got it. Befor reading this fourm I loved the look of the stock Vette. After seeing all the new looks I find the trade-off worth it.
(Z51 W/ 07 ZO6 shocks)

Mine is at stock height. I love the way the lowered ones look, but I don't want the bad ride quality and scraping all over that comes along with it.
