How much do dealers mark up a new Z compared to building one on chevrolet.com? I've never seen one at a dealer.
Is there any change since the 08 C6 got a little bump in power?
Now when the C5Z T1 suppension os put on the C5Z and the C6Z T1 suppension is put on the C6Z the C5Z is much faster on lap times; cornering speeds dramticly increase with the C5Z, and only slightly Increase with the C6Z. The is a new rear T1 swaybar out for the C6Z, which has helpped corning. 3rd or 4th design now.
The C6Z has corner handling problems at high speeds. ie it pushes like a pig in corners. it just does not turn in well. Smaller tires in the rear have helped. going down to 18x315s in the rear and 18x 285 front or 18x335 rear and 18x305 front has help the C6Z turn in much quicker plus cornering stabilty. The 19x345 are way too big especilly with the much smaller 18x275s or 18x285s up front. Too much of a difference on the stock verson for a road course.
The C6Zs TPM are another challange. The alarm keeps going off with the tires pressuers gets up to opperating pressure and temps.
a few ppl have made devices to hold the TPMs in a pressurezed tube in the center of the car and run wheels without the TPM and this has helpped with the tire pressure and temp issues.
The few other issues are the related to the oil. Remove the large screen in the bottom of the oil tank, remove the carbon filter in the mas and run about 3/4 to 1 qt less for a road course. This ends any blow by and keeps the oil pressuire UP in high speed sweeping corners.
for the C5Z, over heating is a major issue. The C5Z needs an trans cooler, oil cooler and accu-sump. Once the C5Z cooling issues are delt with the car is very quick.
Without the sump, the LS6 motor can still see oil starvation issues on high speed sweepers. and we all know what oil starvation even for a few seconds can do. BANG.

it's been provin many many times the C6Z is faster around the course than the C5Z
sorry to burst your bubble.
