I bought some dash inserts ( stickers ) for the air bag, and I can not find a way to get these things to stick. They will look good for a few days, then they start peeling off at the edges. I have tried everything I can think of. I followed the directions all three times ( clean with alcohol, did not touch the backing with my fingers, put in place and allowed hours to dry "Even adding some heat from a hair dryer the third time, that was a tip given on the directions" Does anyone have a way to actually get these things to stick????

I bought my vinyl airbag stickers from Corvette Accessories Unlimited and cleaned the area very well with rubbing alcohol. Then used tweezers and a toothpick to put the decal in place. Have had it on there for at least five years now and not one sign of peeling.
Some have used the superglue method to get them to stick but I'm not wild about that idea. A good quality decal should stick without having to resort to that.
I feel your pain. My decal from West Coast Corvettes didn't stick either. And I'm absolutely not going to put Super Glue on my dash! I've heard the decals from Cyberdyne Graphics are top notch & good quality. Think I may buy my next one from them.
If you gave it a good clean I guess its just bad adhesive.
I've also heard guys use superglue but that will destroy the finish on the dash pad. Why not try some of the rubber solution type adhesive. At least that will rub off if you decide you dont like them.

I have the Cyberdyne Graphics dash inserts, but they didn't stick very well. Called Cyberdyne and they shipped me a second set but have yet to put them on. When I do, I'm going to use an adhesive, just not sure what to use. Not using superglue, that's for sure. Looking for an adhesive that I can remove if need be.
Clean the dash more.......... once or twice with alcohol just doesn't get it. I found the same thing. After many applications of rubber/vinyl/ leather conditioner, that stuff soaks in. Vinigar, then Dawn & water, then alcohol & lots of it. When the dash feels almost rubbery like .....it is clean..........BTW......Cyberdyne Graphics rules.
I can't remember where I got but I do know I bought cheap ones. I have had no issues at all and did not use super glue. I cleaned the airbag letters with alcohol and a Q-tip to get into the small spaces. Put the letters in then went back over them with a dry Q-tip to insure they were stuck on good. Again I have had no issues it may work for you as wel.
Use denatured alcohol (Lowes, paint dept.) to clean the indents. I use it to clean any surface I want something to adhere to and it has never harmed anything. Alcohol just doesn't do a good enough job........
My letters stick fine after doing this.
Why couldn't you get an auto leather dye and have someone that knows how to air brush, air brush them for you? Would that work better then stickers?
Just an idea...
