I'm on my second vette at age thirty and I just can't get enough!
I hear ya man. I am 30 and on my second Vette as well. I had a C4 now a C5. The C6 will be in the future It never gets old to me. I look forward to driving it
hey guys,
I am wondering - does driving a vette get old? I first drove an IROC at 18 years old, and said WOW this has a lot of power! (ran mid 13's ) - I prayed everytime I got in the car that I wouldn't die because of the excess horsepower. It didn't have a/c and I lusted for more power so I sold it.
Then I got my first LS1 based car - a 1998 Z28/SS - I loved the feel. I felt ... "special". The leather interior, the t tops, the sleek look, etc. I sold it to pay off some debt. I got a few LS1 Trans Ams and they didn't have the same "feel" as the SS, but still were kind of nice.
I drove this Vette (the first Vette I've driven) this past weekend, and wow it felt tremendous. BUT - my question is this: does it get old after a while, or is this just on a completely different level? What are your thoughts?
Sure. It gets old. But at that point you've got other problems...like what kind of a casket you want to lay in.
I agree...it is a mood enhancer. Many times I find myself looking forward to those days that I know I will be driving it. My wife likes this whole thing because I am always more than willing to drive her almost anywhere (so long as it's in the vette). If the vette's not involved in our plans my willingness to drive around goes down.
