i am not a fan of gears. if you are making good power you dont need gears. there was a guy at a local car meet with his twin turbo viper. the car runs 8's in the 1/4 mile on 2.73 gears. he pegged the dyno at 4900 rpms and 1200 rwhp. make the power first and then if you are not happy do gears.
