Don't forget its warm/nice in some states through winter as well. i.e. TX, CA, FL, HI,NM, AZ, NV etc. People in these states drive their vettes year round too!

Id expect to pay no more than $26K for it if everything is in good shape.

Overall I its not that bad of a deal 30K for an `02 as long as it is in top notch condition.

It's high, and these prices are ridiculous.

Today's paper (9/1/07), here in North AL...rare to see one Z06 listed in the paper. Both appear to be private owners.

2002 Z06 with 50K miles for $25.5, Quick Silver

2003 Z06 with 23K miles for $31.9, Black with extd warranty to 2009

If I was buying I'd say both are priced high but then I realize these are starting numbers for some negotiations!

I disagree with you I think both of those prices are good. An 02 for $25.5 is actually excellent. Thats where most 01's are priced with the same mileage.

Mine has 8,000 miles and a brand new procharger its an 04 Z and the best offer I've gotten way $29,000.

Keep in mind I haven't tried anywhere but the forum. Bunch of El Cheapo's on CF these days.

That offer is ridiculous. I've got nothing but low-ball offers here on the forum and I didn't start to get realistic bids until I put my Z in Auto Trader. I love this forum but everyone here is looking to buy wholesale or below and critiquing every one's price. The ppl that criticize your price are the exact ones that believe they are the experts, when they're actually not even in the market to buy; and if they are in the market they are only trying to force the prices down for their own benefit. I guess when I buy again I'll buy on the forum but I think I'll never again waste my time and sell here.
Good luck on your sale and my advice is to advertise elsewhere.

...and I'll agree to disagree $25.5K for an '02 is a good price but not for one with 50K on the clock. 10K a year on a car like this in North AL is too much...might be fair/avg out west or in other areas. Now I'm not saying the car is $20K car but I think there is a couple of grand worth of wiggle room in this price.

Oh yeah because mileage all depends on where you drive the car.

Not how you drive it, how well you maintained it, nor what work you had done to stress the motor - nope. It all depends on your geographical climate.

Hi valdeztke -

I am sure he was referencing the financial climate in Alabama.

best regards -

You've had your car up for sale forever ! All you do is whine and cry and snivel that forum buyers aren't realistic. That "everyone here is looking to buy wholesale or below" !

Perhaps it's time for you to understand that your car is not worth what you believe it is. Hell, you've advertised it as OBO, then received an offer for only 1k less than you believe it's worth, and you turned it down ! Can you PLEASE tell the readers/potential buyers what "Or Best Offer" means to you ?

Hell, you have your car listed here on CF, at Corvette Action Center, at VetteHound.com, on AutoTrader and God only knows where else ! You have it listed EVERYWHERE and it isn't selling at your "Asking" price or your "OBO" . Now if something one is trying to sell, isn't selling, it seems the prudent and sensible sellor would reduce the price or pull the ad. Not you! You just whine the smucks in buyer land won't accomodate your price.

It doesn't matter to me if you EVER sell your car. That's YOUR problem. But it would be mature of you to QUIT sniveling and complaining that no one cares to buy your car. You don't pay a damn dime to advertise your car here !! What do you want for free ?

Show the car for sale, bump it occasionally, but quit belly-aching that no one will buy it at YOUR price !

DG

I got my 02 EB Z w/ 12,2xx miles private party, from the 2nd owner, full documentation w/ original msrp & mark up sticker, local area car, dealer added chromed Z06 wheels, for $31.5 back in May 05. It took me a month to find it. Looked all around, out of state, auctions, you name it. To end up finding it a couple miles from my house. It pays to look, all day every day until you find it.
