This may seem silly, but I have bugs on the front of the vette, and can't get them all off. They wash off but seem to leave a shadow in the paint. I have a 50th Anniversary vert and have tried everything, but can still see them. I even used gasoline but its like they are now in the paint. Has anyone else had this problem? or am I being too particular? Any suggestions would be welcomed
Yes instructions are in the kit. Once you use the clay bar you will be hooked. Do not drop it on the ground because it will be ruined. Did this with the first one I bought and felt like a kid dropping his ice cream off a cone. You can also tear it in half and will be just as effective and have an extra if needed.

You are not being too particular. Try the clay bar route first. If that doesn't help and you don't feel comfortable using a buffer and polishing compound on the car, see what a body shop would charge to try and get the stains off.

After you get the paint cleaned up, keep a good coat of 'wax' on the nose so even the toughest of those buggers can't get through to the paint. It's probabaly some chemical in their bodies that's causing the discoloring. And, keep the gasoline in the tank.
I keep the front waxed and also, I keep a damp cloth so when I come home I just wipe them right off. If you let them bake on during the day, they are hard to get off!

They are not "love bugs" from the southeast are they. Went to Orlando this May and I had a ton of them on the front of the car. They actually took off spots of clearcoat when I took them off! For regular bugs, I bought a product at NAPA for bugs, just spray it on and wash the car....bugs GONE.
after i come back from the country and get bugs on the front..i use my pressure washer..soak then wash..they come right off..it works great for me..plus a good wax on there helps too.
