After washing the car and cleaning the engine compartment today, I found this piece on the ground after I put the car back in the garage. I'm pretty sure someone else ran into this same situation recently but I couldn't find the thread.
On the fuel line (something you probably don't see, it is typically hidden under your FRC.). It is a clip that really isn't anything to worry about. I never had them on mine.

Yup... thats what its for. Either the fuel line connecting to the fuel rails under the FRC's or some have it where the fuel line connects near the firewall. Either way you dont really need it.
Fuel line safety clip...the General ( all manufacturers for that matter) use them on quick connect locations for fuel supply lines.....probably not to worry ...the payment book is usually the cause of a Corvette fire!
Paul, you can see one clip on each end of my fuel line in the pic below. To put it back on, start with the end with the hooked-back prongs and insert into the end of the fuel line then rotate the other end to snap down over the OD of the line.

Patches to the rescue. Why am I not surprised?? Thank you sir!!
