I would try disconnecting the battery for a minute or two.

Isn't there a difference on the Canadian C-5's with the Twilight Sentinel? I'm wondering if you have one of those. Your profile doesn't say where you are.

I have a feeling that you have a Canadian model of the C-5. On those, I believe the Twilight Sentinel cannot be turned off. Someone here on the forum should be able to run your VIN# for you or simply stop in at your local dealer and have them run the number to find out. Its possible too that someone before you replaced the BCM with the wrong part number for your car, assuming you aren't the original owner.

If for some reason you have a Canadian spec car you can't turn TS off.

Are you sure you're going through the process corrrectly:

Twilight (Optional in United States, Standard in Canada)
Press the OPTIONS button until TWILIGHT - OFF appears on the display, then use the RESET button to
page through the following selections:
TWILIGHT - ON
TWILIGHT - OFF
If you choose TWILIGHT - ON, press the OPTIONS button again to display DELAY TIME 1 2 in the DIC.
Use the OPTIONS button to switch between delay time 1 and 2. You can increase the delay time by pressing button 1 (1 FUEL) or decrease the time by pressing button 2 (2 GAGES). Each bar is equal to 12 seconds.

Have a dealer run your VIN# to find out if its a Canadian model.

I have a Canadian model 2000 C5. I like the twilight sentinal.

There is a bypass that you can install to overide it.

I found the instructions here on this forum.

Its pretty much a do-it-yourself mod and sounds as though it would be pretty easily done.

If you cant find it. PM me your name and address and I will forward it to you.

I decided to not eliminate it.

In Portland Oregon you run with the lights on almost all the time anyway.

Thanks Mike

Here is a simple Canadian car checking tip...is your instrument cluster in metric or standard (does your speedo read 200 or 300)?...does it look like this?

If it is in metric (or reads 300), congratulations, you have a Canadian Vette (built in Bowling Green, but exported to Canada). If you have a Canadian Vette, you can not turn off Twilight Sentinal the normal way....some safety regulation of the Canadian Govt. You either have to pull the fuse, or buy a $10 - $20 bypass, and it is a easy do it yourself mod. I THINK there is a way to have the computer reprogrammed so it turns it off, but the bypass module is much cheaper and quicker. I was fortunate enough that the previous owner already did it to mine.

Good luck.

I own a Canadian C5 and have installed the resistor. You can buy it at:

http://www.corvettegadgetman.com/

It takes about 15 minutes to install.
