Check out his other posts...for someone with such a dislike for the Z16...he sure likes to post in every Z16 thread.
Probably because there seems to be a surge of Z16 related threads as of late, all with the same righteous undertones from the owners. There are alot of new owners on the forums and its important for them to know the facts. Again, if I post something that is not factual, feel free to correct me.

I knew Speedway White was the lowest produced at 1.2% but was surprised by Machine Silver being next at only 3.4%. I know, using my methodology SW, MS and LMB are only one year options so of course they are going to represent a smaller group in the population.
...let's not forget the very rare 1999 and 2000 FRC' ancestors to the Z06. Have you seen a Nassau Blue or Pewter FRC? Those are the rarest.
That is exactly my point. In no way is anyone trying to bash a specific color of a specific year, but rather just pointing out things that biased owners do not want to recognize. I frequent many automotive forums and this is the only website that consistently breeds posts filled with the word "rare, collector, limited edition, etc." of basically new cars. People laugh at us here and I try my best to defend the site. C5s were mass produced cars, as well as the C6, C4 and the C3. I know it's easy to become biased you pay money for something, but sit down and think logically for a minute. When shopping for a modern day Corvette, it's safe to say that the person look for a color that they prefer, despite the production numbers. You want a blue Corvette? You can get a shade of blue in basically ANY year. Nassau, Electron, Lemans.... anything you want. You want a darker shade of blue? Look for an '04 Lemans. Well, I hope you like stripes. It's as basic as that. If everyone here really wanted a 'RARE' C5, you'd all be driving around in a green vert with a white top. They only made a few of those (for a reason).

IMHO THE MOST UNIQUE FEATURE OF THE Z-16 IS THE CARBON FIBER HOOD, NO OTHER "MASS PRODUCED" CAR HAS A MAJOR BODY PANEL OF CF AT THE TIME OF THE PRODUCTION OF THE Z-16. I DO NOT FEEL THAT THE Z-16 IS "RARE" BUT DO THINK THAT CF HOOD MAKES IT VERY UNIQUE. JUST MY 2 CTS.
A great many of us wish that you "frequented" this forum a lot less. See if this will make you go away.......WOW.....Torch Red cars are the coolest and the bestest' Corvettes every made!! Why you hardly ever see one...they must be owned by the most important people in the entire world!!

you are so out to lunch its unreal. You are trying to appear thoughtful when in fact you come off as an idiot. Everyone knows they are mass produced, and no one is suggesting that they are going to become some kind of sleeper collectible, like the big block 427 of the sixties era. What people are saying is that this was the final, most thought out c5z of that series. There were a few improvements, and refinements. There is a neat touch with the carbon fiber roof. So im not sure why all the negative comments all the time, as this is a very well thought of car, not only by most of the corvette group, but also from the general public. The car gets constant good comments from all kinds of people. There is nothing negative here other than you of course.
..looks like the same same car with tinted windows & in front of the brown building in the background as yours. Also, notice how they "blacked out" the license plate from your seller.
