I was thinking about replacing my stock steering wheel with one of those cool looking modified one simular to vetteessential's. I know folks here have done this mod before. A few questions, how much of a pain in the *** is it to remove and what is the going price if I have it done at the dealership? I think I rather get someone else to do, I don't wanna kill myself with an airbag. Thank, have a great day.
Dealer tech can do it within an hour so whatever their going rate is. Fortunately, I got to know a dealer tech who does a few things on his own after hours. $25 is what he charged to do mine at my house Pays to make friends!
Have an expert do it. Some wheels come off easy-others are a bear. Mine broke 2 wheel removal tools before it was pulled plus most wheels are by exchange-if the wheel is screwed up it's not going to be taken as an exchange. Make sure the tech understands this.

When I had my VE steering wheel installed, the dealer charged me an hour's labor. Shouldn't be any more than that for you. The air bag is the main concern.
