Default Removing Z06 emblems?

Ok, the previous owner put Z06 emblems on my '00 FRC and I'm wondering what is the easiest way to remove them. This probably seems like a stupid question, but the car is black and I don't want to do anything to damage the paint but I definitely don't wana leave the emblems on there.

Thanks

I don't know FOR SURE. But I bet its just like taking off BSMs. The emblem just sticks on with 3M tape, so fishing line, some heat, and some adhesive remover should do the trick.

Try a hair dryer to heat the glue ,then get a piece of fishing line under the emblem and pull back. Use the line the way you would use dental floss.

You might need some goo gone or WD-40 will work to take off the gummy 3M tape.

3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner works great for removing any left over adhesive. You should be able to find it at most automotive stores.

I don't like the Z06 emblems because it isn't a Z06, but the owner did put the brake ducts on the car....and I put the front screens on it

3M Adhesive and Wax Remover used it on many things, cars and trucks even used to get the old double sided tape off of broken vent shade,

Soak it and it starts releasing the old glue used my finger to get most of the thick tape off, then used a soft cloth to get the glue film the rest of the way off, then applied new wax and was good to go. It was on my GF new back then 05 GT. hope this helps you out.

I'm with you on your chooice. It's not a Z06 so it shouldn't be there. We can put mods on there that actually help the car in some way but an emblem doesn't help and is just as bad as any ricer you see at some import show with a Type R sticker on there car that isn't really and R.

It's the other way around you have to remove the Vette from the Z06 emblems!

Hold onto the emblem very tightly and then get someone to drive the car away very quickly drop the clutch at 3,000rpm!

That should do it!

well when you do get them off I wouldn't mind having them for my 02 Z06 if they are stock style ones. The last owner put 525hp emblems on mine and I would like to return it to stock looking.
