Default Active Handling Rocks

I was driving home through the Lincolnshire back roads. The roads are just wide enough for two to pass. There was a light drizzle and the roads were just nicely slick. Approaching a tight S bend only doing about 50-60 and a truck cut the corner onto my side of the road. I kept in tight to the apex to avoid him but it put me off the correct line for the corner. As I accelerated out of the corner - nothing hard just normal sort of pull away and a turn in - I got a nice little shimmy as the power hit the back end.

The AH cut in and within two cycles I was back rock solid straight. Theres no doubt a spin at that point with traffic following would have been bad.

This system works if you ever doubted it. Thanks General

Yep, it works pretty well. It has saved me a couple times when I was still stock. Now my car needs a lot more driver's input and the excercise of controlling the itch in right foot

My foot's been a lot more itchy recently than it was today Nouman. It just shows that its the time that you least expect it that catches you out

I hear you on that Dave

Just be careful. Even with stock power AH sometimes is NOT enough. I can tell you this by my HPDE days .

I sort of grew up in London and I know the roads there are quite narrow compared to States. Trust me my 750 HP car does not scare me here as much as my cousin's Camen S with 300 BHP did last year there

I had a similar situation pop up yesterday.

I was on the feeder turning right onto a road that was on a upslope. The sprinkler system was on and was spraying water onto the road and as I turn I felt my right side getting loose.Active handling activated, straightened out the car, and hell I even managed to see the active handing message pop up on my DIC.

In the rain it's great otherwise I don't need it and it bugs me when it comes on when I used to forgot and want to have my rear end come around a corner. Having a 97 again I don't have to worry about it!
