I had someone at the dealership when I was taking in for service the other day who thought my 04 was brand new too. The looks aren't that different if you aren't into Corvettes really. We see a big difference, but the overall design is so similar.

You are correct but I meant to say longer overall length, not wheelbase.

The only thing I like better on the C6 is the LS2 and the soon to be LS3.

LS2 motor was not really any better then the LS1. I've raced many C6
s with LS2 and driven a few they feel slow to me. The Ls3 motor is the one to watch out for I think it is underated in power

Default C-5 all the way.

The C-5 is not as edgy as a C-6 but also not as sterile. If new and modern is what you want then the C-6 is for you. But if classic and clean is the Vette you desire then the C-5 has no equal. The lights may be better on the C-6 but only in the on position. For sheer look and lines the hideaways lights in the C-5 have my vote. The C-6 has a great future but all it looks like is an updated C-5 instead of true new design. The interior of the C-6 looses the sporty feel and gives way to the modern and normal passenger car. The C-6 is a incredible car but not yet an incredible Corvette.

C6 - too boxy. Too narrow and tall looking.

C5 - just right. Curvy and stealthy looking.

I agree. It seems like GM just kinda bushed up the C6 as compared to years past when they changed design it was a major overhaul. As always it looks GM was trying to keep cost down by not having to do complete retool for a whole new design, which IMO kept the C5 resale from plummeting to far like the C4 did when the C5 came out.

1. c6's look like smiling sea turtles. Too cute.
2. c6's Shorter length takes away from c5's supercar proportions (low, wide, with a big Lambo-like azz , and curved like no other car except a c3 or the Ferrari posted above)
3. c6's can't pull DIC codes!!!!!!!!! GM's wanting more dealer repairs for diagnostics I guess
4. More electronics mean more bs to fix. I like a simpler car, and I don't need infotainment while driving a fast car.

c6's are nice, but not as wicked-looking. my .02
