Default Problem with 03 z06

Hey everyone. This is the first problem ive had with my z06. It started happening out of the blue, the car seems to hesistate and stutter when just going up through the rpms. When i get on the gas it backfires alot and hesitates. My guess is the one of the cylinders isnt firing but i havent checked any of the plugs yet. Any ideas?

Plug wires.
Coil pack.
Not plugs unless you have 90,000 miles plus.

If not above, put on scanner. Is it throwing any codes?

Could be bad gas or contaminated gas (water).

Ive seen stock plugs lose their pucks at 20K and misfire like crazy. Id change out any plugs if they have 40K or more.

Pull the codes on your DIC and see if it says anything.

This happened to me the other day, and the cause was a disconnected coupler at the air bridge. It was letting in unmetered air and made it run like you describe. Check your connections from the throttle body to the MAF.

I had this same issue.........started out as knock at wide open throttle, car then tripped code for both front O2 sensors reading low voltage. It turned out to be my fuel pump loosing pressure at anything above 1/2 throttle........

I'd Check all your Fuel injectors Wires, and Spark Plug Wires First.. I once had a Mouse Bite threw a Fuel injector wire on my Mustang.. It did exactly what your Vet is doing.... Check your spark plug wires too..
